Built in the 1870's, the Rothschild-Pound House is an excellent example of second Empire Victorian Architecture. Formerly the residence of civic and industrial leaders, this grand old home suffered ill use and disrepair over the years. On the verge of destruction, it was saved from the wrecking ball through a concerted community effort and moved, intact to the protection of the Historic District. Completely renovated in 1994 by its owners, Mamie and Garry Pound, it is now a graciously appointed bed & breakfast.

Since the Rothschild-Pound House opened in January 1995, Mamie and Garry have purchased five additional cottages. Guests may choose from 16 rooms, each spacious and graciously appointed.
