MENU:
Our restaurant is in a building that dates back to 1880. It was originally a butcher shop, owned by Mr. Dimon. The ceilings are pressed tin and the walls are covered in original fine art, by artist Garry Pound.
Chef David Rushing is an amazing addition to Vintage 222. Each night is a new culinary advenure with New Orleans and Gulf Coast influences throughout the menu. It is simply the most delicious food in the area.
The ambiance is casual elegance. In other words, the food is great, but there’s no need for a tie. It’s a place for a great steak, seafood and even vegetarian. We offer an extensive list of wine and beers, perfect to celebrate a special occasion or a just beautiful evening. You may sit indoors, or outside on the covered porch.
“I was recently in Columbus, Georgia and really came to love that town in short order…
I stayed in a B&B that I loved, in a shotgun cottage on a quiet street,
And there was a sweet little café down on the corner
where you got pancakes in the morning.
The people I met in Columbus were so comfortable. I felt at home there right away.
It wasn’t ’star treatment’ or anything like that. It was pure wholehearted Southern hospitality.”
